PARK – Project meeting in Pontevedra

The Placemaking for Active Recreation team joined the Placemaking Week Europe in Pontevedra on 26-29 September for another project meeting, and PARK session at the festival to share the resources, learnings, and disseminate the concept outwards. 

The project partners from BG Be Active (Bulgaria), MOVE (Malta), AJSPT Suceava (Romania), ISCA (Denmark), DES (Spain), Placemaking Europe (Netherlands), and Power Jump (Bulgaria) gathered together for another project meeting. The partners discussed the progress with the project resources – Placemaking for Active Recreation Toolkit, and Approach with the steps for the intervention, as well as Policy recommendations. The project pilot partners presented the preliminary results of their interventions in Malta, Spain, Bulgaria, and Romania.

As a part of the Placemaking Week Europe (26-30 September) with hundreds of placemakers, urban designers, municipal representatives, the partners organised a PARK session to promote the concept of physical activity in public spaces, share inspiration and build networks. The session was attended by more than 30 participants. 

On October 11 at 11:30-13:00 CET, the project team will also organise the session as a part of the EU Regions and Cities #EURegionsWeek 2022 to present the resources and upscale the project.
